WALKING INTO THIS ATLANTIC CITY SPORTSBOOK MAY CAUSE YOUR JAW TO DROP

The Atlantic City casino landscape is an eclectic mixture of new possessions.
Along with Harrah side of town, parent company Caesars Entertainment??owns Bally’s and the Caesars properties around the Boardwalk. Caesars and Bally’s surely fall in the”older” category.
Bally’s casino opened in 1979. From a parking garage which disappeared directional signals and has seen to worn carpeting, the Bally’s house feels every bit as old.
As I found my way toward the Bally’s sportsbook, ” I was hoping to prep myself to what could be in-store at this property. I did not understand what to anticipate.
I have been reviewing every New Jersey retail sportsbook in advance of the NFL regular season kickoff. This one comes a bit but also for good reason.
Since I began to map my on-site trip schedule back in early July, I snapped The Novel at Bally’s in the conclusion of my itinerary, because its launch was not until the end of July.
With the place open and functional, let’s dive in and take a look at The Novel in Atlantic City.
Address: 1900 Boardwalk, Atlantic City
The Novel, which opened on July 30 and also had its grand opening throughout the Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday, Sept. 8, has not yet made the record on the directional signs in Bally’s/Caesars complicated.
Entering from the garage is a small trip, so follow the worn rugs and faded indications to”Bally’s Wild West” or simply ask a casino worker for some directions.
Well, the trite old saying of”don’t judge a book by its cover” certainly applies to The Book. From the moment I came down the escalator, I was dismissed with this venue that was great. “Impressive,””astounding” and”monumental” all come to mind, and I could visit synonyms.com and easily locate 10 more words which would also apply to this sportsbook.
The prior Coyote Kate’s Wild Wild West Slots Parlor area at Bally’s was transformed into a state of sportsbook that was truly Vegas-style and the art. #Boom.
The 15,228-square-foot area is jaw-dropping, by the luxurious seating area, private enthusiast temples , also a”wall of beer” and TV displays of such scale, they’d be at home as part of their NYC”Times Square” landscape.
As previously mentioned, while finding this space by the parking garage was a bit arduous, The Book is quite a bit more easily accessible from the Boardwalk entry, though from the exterior signs you’d never know that there is a veritable”sports palace” lurking outside the listed Wild Wild West along with Guy Fieri restaurants.
To place the scale of The Book into perspective, it is almost 2x the size of the next largest AC books (Borgata sportsbook along with William Hill at Ocean). The design and scale of the sportsbook is relative to this space available in the present casino area as the majority of the novels have to be retrofitted to the house as I have seen at AC casinos.
Nicely, Bally’s had plenty of space to use and they definitely”explored the distance” when designing The Novel.
Bally’s AC sportsbook is only one contiguous enormous space. There are two humongous TV displays and a third which functions as a video wall with the ability to be formatted into multiple screens to get multiple game actions coverage.
The viewing area is composed of 102 leather chairs, a row using 30 VIP seats and lined table rail which features video slots and seats .
Also, since the space along with the TV displays are large, there is plenty of space.
Under the displays in the close of this Bally’s sportsbook are just five personal, available for pre-booking via online bookings and fully enclosed lover caves every holding 16 to 24 people.
All told, that’s a seating capacity of up to 280, with loads of open area in case you don’t have a chair to hang out.
There are just seven live gambling teller spaces. The teller region is small in relative proportion to the size of the book.
I really do raise a concern that it may be chaotic becoming to the window at The Book during sports betting times.
Massive boards comprising data and odds are located above the teller windows, that can be large enough to need you to endure 20-25 feet away to take in the view of advice.
RATING: 3.5 stars
There are no terminals in The Novel.
As there aren’t any kiosks at the Harrah’s novel this has to be a Caesars thing. At present, this may be the only blemish with the restart of this sportsbook. It’s just unacceptable for a venue of the dimension that is sprawling to not have any choices that are self-betting.
Apparently, there’s a strategy for kiosks at some point, pending acceptance.
RATING: N/A
The dwell teller minimum is $5, which out the William Hill venues is the live teller minimal at Atlantic City sportsbooks.
While other books offer a decrease bet minimal in their self-service kiosks, sadly, that is not a choice here.
RATING: 2.5 stars
The size of these displays at The Book are unmatched. No one else has screens, and it is an experience that is wonderful, when your game is on the display.
There (now ) is a deficiency of smaller screen alternatives, therefore there may be a challenge if you are not there to see the Eagles, Jets or Giants play on any given NFL match day.
RATING: 4.5 stars
The 280-seat ability is far and away the biggest of any NJ sportsbook. A winner for Bally’s within this class.
RATING: 5 stars
The Book contains five personal fan caves. All these are enclosed behind a cluttered door, with each space holding up with individual TV screens.
Additionally, even the chairs in the primary viewing area can be booked online. In lieu of a”rental fee,” there is a food & beverage minimum spending dedication required as a member of the reservation.
For instance, Sunday, Sept. 8, the main viewing chairs required a single food and beverage spend of $50. Going up the pricing ladder, the VIP minimal spends start at $250 at $150 and enthusiast caves.
Tying this is an excellent reservation template on the Bally’s site, as shown below to your Sept. 22 NFL Sunday:
RATING: 5 stars
The Book which makes it effortless to make it to the minimum spends for your booked seats.
A menu is for the ordering. There’s also a self-service beer pub that has 16 different baits available to purchase.
RATING: 5 stars
On my trip that is off-peak, there were four employees behind the teller’s counter, and several security guards patrolling the place, and housekeeping employees.
Additionally, there are a lot of racks containing futures sheets and paper odds available to browse and select from.
RATING: 5 stars
The fee of 25 is the highest in Atlantic City. It seems criminal to control this amount and then have you stroll with a strong odor of pee through a littered garage space. Yuck!!
RATING: 2 stars
The Wild Wild West area that now houses The Book is colossal.
As such, there are some added arcade games such as shuffleboard air hockey, and pool tables. In addition, there is potential for 16 beer pong tables.
Past the options at Bally’s, the location of the property provides easy access to attractions and the other and Boardwalk casinos.
RATING: 5 stars
As a part of every sportsbook trip, I’m placing a football-related wager for the upcoming season.
Attempting to feel out who are the best plays for the Week 1 of the NFL, I placed a small four-team moneyline parlay for $5 that would cover 4-1 if I’m right about the Chiefs, Seahawks, Vikings, also Ravens all starting week with a”W”:
As it happens, I was right on all four choices and $20.46 is now mine for the taking. That warrants itself high-five.
The Novel at Bally’s is a definite must-visit, as this area is really spectacular if you are in Atlantic City. From the sizes to an extensive menu of drinks and food, there is something for every sports enthusiast and sports bettor appreciate and to view.
Though the Bally’s parking prices are excessive, it the cost of accessing most of the Atlantic City casinos. The credible knock on The Novel are the current absence of self-serve kiosks.
A few kiosks are determined by the road and they will absolutely be required to provide support for the little live teller area that is . Caesars, hey , how about installing a new kiosk in every fan cave space? That could be a wonderful touch.
It ought to be a good NFL season and there must definitely be some moments to encounter in the sportsbook of the Bally that autumn.
