NFL Week 2 Monday Night Matchup: Cleveland Browns vs New York Jets

Cleveland -3 @ New York | O/U 46
That can be a rematch of a contest between these two teams in the season ago that the Browns won 21-17 in the home. That was the match where QB Baker Mayfield captured his first shot at the NFL and he had been very efficient since he completed 17 of 23 passes and hooked up with WR Jarvis Landry eight times for 103 yards.
Meanwhile, Jets QB Sam Darnold fought that night, tossing two interceptions and connecting on 50 percent of the passes.
Both the Browns and Jets are coming off disappointing losses in Week 1 and now find themselves. The Jets after Monday night are in the Patriots, at Philadelphia, and after home to Dallas and — guess who’s New England again. That is the most brutal stretch anybody is going to need to go through this season.
On the reverse side, the Browns’ next five games are against teams which won every week and this list contains the Rams, Ravens (set up 42 points by half), Niners (had two pick-sixes), Seahawks and, there they are , the Patriots.
Mayfield was dreadful, throwing three choices, as a whole than the Jets and Sam Darnold do but I can find him bouncing back, particularly since he has more weapons on offense.
Le’Veon Bell bailed the Jets from a day offensively as he made a terrific catch for a touchdown on third down and made a better catch after. The Jets still lacked large plays down the field from receivers and I believe that is about Darnold. He also makes the offense predictable whereas Mayfield will create plays and shoot shots, especially with Beckham and Landry.
I also can view Mayfield using tight end David Njoku correctly when desired and running back Nick Chubb gets into the corners and has a game.
By the game’s end, lay the 3 factors and the Baker & Browns dip back, and get in the win column for head trainer Freddie Kitchens.
Prediction: Browns 23 – Jets 16. Chubb has 100 yards and a touchdown, Browns defense receives a pick-six. It’s Groundhog Day around for Darnold since no TDs and two selections throw and also the Browns beat New York.
