Tom Lewis earns PGA Tour card with Korn Ferry Tour Championship win

Tom Lewis secured his playing privileges with victory in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on the PGA Tour for Second season.

The event was the final of three tournaments from the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, where PGA Tour cards have been available to the leading 25 players that did not already have their playing rights confirmed.
Lewis missed the first two events but made the visit to Indiana for his appearance to the tour, where a final-round 65 gave him a five-shot victory over challenger Fabian Gomez.
“I’m chuffed,” Lewis explained. “A win is a win. Hopefully, I will go on and make more opportunities for myself to the aisle and out here today.”
Lewis was eligible to play after a tied-11th finish in The Open left him that the equivalent of 196th with those involving 126th and 200th allowed to feature at the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
The Englishman posted back 66s on Saturday and Sunday to shoot a lead in the last round, at which he holed a birdie at the next and made a six-footer to save par.
A gain at the fifth has been cancelled out for Lewis, only with a bogey at the second to go inches apart by a hole-out eagle in the eighth to set up the first of 3 consecutive birdies.
Lewis stretched his lead with birdies over his next two holes and ended a streak of pars with a two-putt birdie at the par-five 15th , before finishing his victory with a tap-in level at the last.
Victory watched together with Lewis lifts to world No 63 and finish second in the 25 standings the Viktor Hovland one of the prominent players to receive their advertisements to the PGA Tour of Norway along with Englishman Ben Taylor.
